Abstract

Provided is a dielectric filter having an outer conductor of a top side lowered to the ground potential without using a cover while a self capacitance of a resonator is in a suppressed state. The dielectric filter (100) includes a dielectric block (1), an outer conductor (2), a plurality of inner conductors (12), an I/O electrode (3), and a belt-shaped electrode (4). The dielectric block (1) is substantially a rectangular solid having a bottom as a mounting surface. The outer conductor (2) is grounded by the mounting surface. The inner conductor (12) has an open end at the front surface of the dielectric block (1). The I/O electrode (3) is separated from the outer electrode (2) and capacitance-coupled to the inner conductor (12). The belt-shaped electrode (4) has both ends connected to the outer conductor (2) and is sandwiched by a portion not forming an electrode. The belt-shaped electrode (4) bypasses the region adjacent to the coupling electrode (5) in the front of the dielectric block (1) so as to reduce the ground current channel between the outer conductor (2) on the top of the dielectric block (1) and the outer conductor (2) on the mounting surface of the dielectric block (1).
