Abstract

As shown in Figure 1, a connector according is generally shown as (1) and comprises a main body (2) having first and second legs (3) and (4) extending from either end of the main body. The end faces of the legs face each other and the end of leg (3) terminates at a first face (5), while the end of leg (4) ends at second face (6). The inner walls of the legs (3, 4) have points of contact to hold a sampling tube placed between the legs and clearance areas which allow expansion of a tube when heated. In-between faces (5, 6) there is an area which can receive a tool to prise the legs apart to remove the connector from a sampling device.
