Abstract

The invention relates to an element (50) for cooling a member of an internal combustion engine, including: a junction face (51) designed to be applied against the corresponding receiving face of a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine, a housing (55) designed to receive the member, and a cooling channel (60) through which a coolant flows. According to the invention, the cooling channel includes an coolant inlet (61) designed to be connected to a degassing outlet of a cooling circuit passing through the cylinder head and a coolant outlet (62) designed to be connected to an expansion tank.
