Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé d'utilisation d'un lecteur d'image portable qui comporte l'imagerie d'une cible, telle qu'un emballage, positionné de sorte que trois surfaces de la cible apparaissent dans l'image capturée. Un processeur peut ensuite identifier ou déterminer à partir de l'image des contours externes de l'emballage. À titre d'exemple, le processeur peut identifier au moins trois bords externes. Le processeur peut ensuite identifier ou déterminer à partir de l'image des coins de la cible, les coins étant représentatifs de l'intersection des bords. Le processeur peut alors déterminer à partir des bords et des coins les dimensions de l'emballage, telles que la hauteur, la largeur ou la profondeur.
