Abstract

Intended is to provide a free curved-surface optical element, a molding die and an optical device, which can perform a highly precise positioning. The mirror sides of first to third holding portions (27a - 27c) for abutting against a holding part (18) thereby to position and fix a free curved-surface mirror (14) form first to third mounting reference faces (29a - 29c) or the curved surfaces composed of arcs of about one quarter circle. The first to third mounting reference faces (29a - 29c) are made to abut against the V-shaped faces of first to third notched faces (48a - 48c) of the holding part (18), respectively, thereby to position the free curved-surface mirror (14).
