Abstract
An imaging device having an automatic focus function that can be conveniently used without being bothered by cumbersome operation and complicated specifications. The imaging device has an optical system for collecting light from an object to form an object image, a focus adjustment section for adjusting the condition of focus of the object image formed by the optical system, a shake detection section for detecting a shake of the imaging device, and a control section for monitoring at least the result of detection by the shake detection section and determining whether or not to control the focus adjustment section in order to start to adjust the condition of focus of the object image.
