Abstract
The invention relates to a method, a device and a calibration reference device for the control, especially quality control, of a printing form body, especially an essentially cylindrical printed form body, preferably a rotogravure form body, especially a rotogravure cylinder. The aim of the invention is to enable a more complex control of a printing form body, especially for the completion and/or preparation thereof, which preferably contributes to an entire process automation or enables same. To this end, according to the method, the printing form body is inserted into a control device in oder to control and/or measure at least two of its characteristics using said control device, said characteristics at least partially pertaining to a group of characteristics including at least one body contour dimension, a surface hardness, a surface layer thickness, a thickness of a layer below the surface, a surface roughness, the body weight, part of a printing image and/or the body temperature.
