The idea is that present invention can be shipped out at an early stage in the operation to troops by airborne supply and fitted on site until more permanent facilities will arrive.

  • a number of ballistic panels 3 are connected together by use of an assembly profile 4 between each panel.
  • the assembly profile 4 is made in such a way that each panel 3 can be mounted in at least one slot 5.
  • the assembly profile 4 will normally have slots positioned around a centre at right angle to each other for the panels to be able to follow the wall of the container 2. However, the slots can be positioned at any angle relative to each other depending on the intended use.
  • a first section 6 for ballistic protection to be fitted in the container 2 is put together and stabilized by a surrounding wire 7 guided through several guide elements
  • the finished first section 6 is then pushed into the container and then fastened by use of carbine snap hooks 9 to standard eyebolts 10 provided within the container 2. Thereafter are each new section 6 pushed in, one by one, until the whole container is lined with ballistic panels.
  • the assembly profile is preferably made of aluminium to keep weight to a minimum.
  • the ballistic panels are preferably made from low weight fiber composite materials, but can be made of other suitable material as well.
  • the main aim is to achieve low weight but at the same time sufficient protection.
  • the ballistic panels 3 are made with a size and a logistic system which fit on a standard Euro pallet making them easy to store, handle, transport and use when needed.
  • the ballistic protection system (1) can be erected in a few hours by non-skilled personnel without any assistance from specialized tools, power supply or other utilities.

La présente invention concerne un système pour installer facilement et rapidement une protection balistique d'un conteneur ISO standard (2), un système de protection balistique (1) étant ajusté à l'intérieur d'un conteneur comme un revêtement et fixé à un boulon à œil standard (10) à l'intérieur du conteneur à l'aide d'un moyen de fixation.
