Abstract

A rack guide (20) for supporting a rack bar (8) slidably which has an arc-shaped concave surface (22) for sliding and guiding a rack bar (8) on one edge face (21), a round-columnar recess (24) on the other edge face (23), and a cylindrical outer periphery surface (25) between the edge faces (21, 23) and which is made of a polyamide resin composed of dicarboxylic acid units (a) comprising 60 to 100% by mole of terephthalic acid units and diamine units (b) comprising 60 to 100% by mole of 1,9 -nonanediamine units and 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine units at a mole ratio of 1,9-nonanediamine units to 2-methyl-1,8 -octanediamine units of 70:30 to 50:50, a tetrafluoroethylene resin, and a reinforcing filler.
