Abstract

A battery structure comprises at least two unit cells arranged axially parallel and in inverse parallel so that the positive and negative electrode terminals are inversely oriented, insulating members covering the respective unit cells, and a connection member for connecting the positive electrode terminal of one unit cell to the negative electrode terminal of the other at the one ends of the unit cells. The connection member includes a negative electrode connection part so attached to the other unit cell that it is in contact with the negative electrode terminal of the other unit cell and a bus bar whose one end is connected to the positive electrode terminal of the one unit cell. The negative electrode connection part has a slot in which the other end of the bus bar part is plugged. The other end of the bus bar part is chamfered so that the end in the direction of the plug-in of the other end in the slot may not damage the insulating member. Thus the safety of the battery structure is improved.
