Abstract

A moisturizing agent for plant comprising, contained in a solvent, (a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-hydroxymethyl-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 2-ethyl-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol and ethylene carbonate, (b) at least one hydrophilic substance and (c) at least one hydrophobic substance. Further, there is provided a moisturizing agent for plant comprising, contained in a solvent, (a) at least one compound mentioned in item (a) above and (d) at least one amphiphilic substance. Still further, there is provided a method of moisturizing a plant with the use of the above moisturizing agents for plant.
