Abstract
A wireless ultrasound probe is operable with a heads-up projection display system to display ultrasound images provided by the probe on glasses worn by a surgeon. This enables the surgeon to view an ultrasound image of the surgical site without averting his eyes to a display in some other area of the surgical suite and to remain focused on the patient. The image can also be transmitted to a host ultrasound system for viewing and other purposes such as image storage.
