Abstract

In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for thermoforming a waste disposal bag. Thermoforming a disposal bag may comprise associating a clamping fixture with a thermoplastic material to define a perimeter of the top frame of the bag, applying heat to the thermoplastic material to generate a feature on the portion of the thermoplastic material that will become the top frame, and deforming the center of the thermoplastic material into the cavity of a cavity forming tool to form a bag. In some embodiments, forming the bag may comprise applying heat to soften and deform the thermoplastic form and applying positive air pressure above the thermoplastic form and negative air pressure below the thermoplastic form to elongate the thermoplastic material into a mold cavity.
