Abstract

Disclosed is a base film for use in liquid pressure transfer printing, which has excellent suitability for printing and excellent transfer efficiency. Also disclosed is a liquid pressure transfer method using the base film. Specifically disclosed is a base film for use in liquid pressure transfer printing, which comprises a polyvinyl alcohol film and has a curl area ratio of 30% or less as measured 25 seconds after the film is floated on the surface of a liquid. The base film can be used in a continuous or batch-wise liquid pressure transfer method.
