- An essential additional feature is that the main portion 13 can be moved essentially freely at mounting in the load carrying bar 4, i.e. the main portion 13 is designed such that it will not be in contact with the upper inside of the load carrying bar 4. Thus, it shall not be any risk that the main portion 13 wedge between the inside surfaces of the load carrying bar.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne un pied de support de charge (1) d'un support de charge (2), pour serrer simultanément une partie inférieure du pied de support de charge sur un longeron de toit (3) d'un véhicule et une partie supérieure du pied de support de charge sur une barre de support de charge (4) du support de charge, comprenant un corps (5) essentiellement rigide et une mâchoire de serrage (6). Des moyens de serrage (7) sont agencés pour amener la mâchoire de serrage (6) vers le corps (5) de sorte que le pied de support de charge (1) soit serré dans une position droite sur le longeron de toit (3), simultanément au serrage de la barre de support de charge (4) entre la mâchoire de serrage (6) et le corps (5). L'essentiel de l'invention est que la mâchoire de serrage (6) est tournée vers le corps (5) au moment du serrage desdits moyens de serrage (7), que la partie principale (13) est amenée vers le bas de sorte que les surfaces de support (16) soient pressées contre l'intérieur (17) de la barre de support de charge (4), et que la barre de support de charge (4) est serrée entre les surfaces de support de la partie principale (16) et les surfaces de support (19) du corps, moyennant quoi la mâchoire de serrage (6) n'est en butée que vers le longeron de toit (3) et contre ledit intérieur (17) inférieur de la barre de support de charge.
