Abstract

 ノード識別子で特定さえる送信元ノードと送信先ノードとが、通信に先立ちこれらの位置指示子と、ノード識別子と位置指示子とのマッピングを取得し、通信に際してノード識別子で特定されたパケットのアドレスが位置指示子で書き換えられた後に送信される。ノード識別子と位置指示子との役割が分離されるため、移動通信およびマルチホーミングに適する。また、グローバルアドレスの使用量を低減し、アドレス枯渇問題を解決することができる。
