Abstract

　ユーザが再構造化後のデータベースの構成を柔軟に設計しやすくすることができるデータベース再構造化支援システムを提供する。 　蓄積コスト見積手段１１２は、データベース１２２に含まれるカタログ情報を用いて、再構造化前および後それぞれの蓄積コストを計算する。再構造化の蓄積コストを計算する場合には、新規スキーマのタプルを計算し、そのタプルを用いて蓄積コストを計算する。アクセスコスト見積手段１１３は、データベース１２２に含まれるカタログ情報およびログＤＢ１２１を用いて、再構造化前および後それぞれのアクセスコストを計算する。再構造化後のアクセスコストを計算する場合、新規スキーマにおける属性の値の種類数を計算し、その種類数を用いてアクセスコストを計算する。統合コスト見積手段１１１は、アクセスコストと蓄積コストを統合した統合コストを計算する。
