Abstract
An active matrix substrate comprising a scan signal line (16), a data signal line (15), pixel electrodes (17yb, 17xa, and 17xb) arranged in the column direction, and retention capacity interconnections (18α and 18β) extended in the row direction. The retention capacity interconnection (18α) is formed in correspondence with a gap between the two pixel electrodes (17xa and 17yb) adjoining in the column direction and forms a capacity with a capacitive electrode (47xa) connected to one (17xa) of the pixel electrodes while forming a capacity with a capacitive electrode (47yb) connected to the other pixel electrode (17yb). The retention capacity interconnection (18α) consists of two electrically connected sub-interconnections (18p and 18q), which are arranged in such a manner that a gap between them may overlap the gap between the two pixel electrodes (17xa and 17yb), thus making it easy to correct the short circuit between the two pixel electrodes (17xa and 17yb).
