Abstract

A container for elevating contents Is disclosed The container Includes a shaft, a base attached to a shaft bottom end, and a movable platform is slidingly disposed on the shaft The platform supports contents and slides axially from shaft bottom to shaft top, wherein the shaft has a plurality of lateral spaced tangs which act as stops along the shaft length Latches operably coupled to the platform and configured to release the platform under the influence of weight and or buoyancy upon Inversion of container The latches have an engagement detail that in a engaged position prevents the platform from retreating towards the bottom of the container Alternatively, engagement detail such as a plurality of laterally displaced resilient fingers can be on the shaft A central opening of the platform urges the engaged finger against the shaft and allows fingers to pass through the central opening when container is inverted
