Abstract

The invention relates to the use of at least one hydroxylamine as an agent for destroying hydrophilic polymers in the form of hydrogels or aqueous suspensions of hydrogels, said hydroxylamine having general formula (I), in which: R1 and R2 each represent independently of each other an alkyl radical at C1-C8, an alkyl radical at C1-C16 substituted by at least one hydroxyl, aryl, aralkyl or alkaryl radical, wherein either R1 or R2 can also represent hydrogen. The invention also relates to the corresonding method for destroying hydrophilic polymers in the form of hydrogels or aqueous suspensions of hydrogels.
