Abstract

Provided is a fixed type synchromesh universal-joint, in which the assemblage between an inner-side joint member and a retainer is improved while keeping the strength of the retainer. In the fixed type synchromesh universal-joint, notches (13a and 13a) are formed in the trailing end side portion of at least one of ridges (2d) between a plurality of guide grooves (2b) of an inner-side joint member (2). When the inner-side joint member (2) is assembled with a retainer (4), a predetermined clearance is retained, while the guide grooves (2b) are being made to ride on an entrance (4d) of the retainer (4), between the notches (13a and 13a) of the ridges (2d) of the inner-side joint member (2) on the opposite side of the riding guide grooves (2b) and the entrance (4d) of the retainer (4).
