Abstract

An electro-thermal converter according to one embodiment of this invention is characterized in that the converter comprises an induction coil formed of a conductive material, at least one body to be heated which is formed of a metal with magnetism and disposed adjacent to the induction coil, and an outer frame forming at least one flow passage between itself and the body to be heated, and in that a high-frequency current is supplied to the induction coil to heat the fluid in the flow passage through the body to be heated. Since the body to be heated is heated when the high-frequency current is supplied to the induction coil and brought into direct contact with the fluid flowing in the flow passage, the fluid can be heated through the body to be heated with extremely good efficiency and high response.
