Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating a portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a cross sectional view illustrating a portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 is a view illustrating an operation of a push valve 15 in a portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention is basically directed to quantitatively discharging a shaving foam 3 stored in the interior of a handle 10 to a razor blade body 30 by pressing a push button 19. As shown in Figures 1 through 3, the portable foam type shaver 1 comprises a handle 10 in which an accommodating space 11 for storing a shaving foam 3 is formed in the interior of the same, and a foam discharge pipe 13 communicates with the accommodating space 11 , and a push valve 15 is engaged to an end of the foam discharge pipe 13 for quantitatively discharging the shaving foam by adjusting an opening and closed state of the foam discharge pipe 13, and a first foam discharge passage 17 communicates with the foam discharge pipe 13, and a push button 19 is protruded from its outer surface for pressing the push valve. The portable foam type shaver 1 further comprises a flexible connection unit 20 which is engaged to one side of the handle 10 and is smoothly bent depending on a pressing force for shaving and includes a second foam discharge passage 21 communicating with the first foam discharge passage 17, and a razor blade body 30 which is engaged to the flexible connection unit 20 and includes a razor blade 31 in its front side and a third foam discharge passage 35 communicating with the second foam discharge passage 21 for discharging the shaving foam 3.
The handle 10 is constructed in order for a user to grip and is constructed to store the shaving foam 3 therein.
In the interior of the handle 10, there are provided an accommodating space 11 for storing the shaving foam 3, a foam discharge pipe 13 communicating with the accommodating space 11 , a push valve 15 which is engaged to an end of the foam discharge pipe 13 and quantitatively discharges the shaving foam 3 by adjusting an opening and closing state of the foam discharge pipe 13 depending on its press, a first foam discharge passage 17 communicating with the foam discharge pipe 13 and providing a discharge passage of the shaving foam, and a push button 19 provided on an outer surface of the handle 10 for providing the push valve 15 with a press force.
It is preferred that a charging valve 11a is provided in one side of the accommodating space 11 for recharging the shaving foam 3 into the accommodating space. The charging valve 11a is formed in a structure similar with the charging valve formed at a lower side of a conventional chargeable gaslight. So, the detailed description thereof will be omitted.
It is preferred that the foam discharge pipe 13 is extended up to a lower side of the accommodating space 11 , so it can reliably discharge the foam even when a small amount of the foam remains therein.
The push valve 15 comprises a valve housing 15a which is constructed to keep closing the foam discharge pipe 13 at usual time, so the shaving foam 3 is not discharged through the first foam discharge passage 17, and when the push button
19 protruded from an outer surface of the handle 10 is pressed, the push valve 15 allows the foam discharge pipe 13 to open, so the shaving foam 3 is quantitatively discharged to the first foam discharge passage 17, with the valve housing 15a being engaged to an end of the foam discharge pipe 13 and being provided with an inner space 15a' communicating with the foam discharge pipe 13 and a shoulder 15a" formed in one side of the inner space 15a'. The push valve 15 further comprises a valve body 15b which is movably engaged at the other side of the valve housing 15a and is provided with a foam discharge passage 15b' of which its one end communicates with the first foam discharge passage 17, and its other end communicates with the inner space 15a' when it is pressed. The push valve 15 further comprises an elastic spring 15c disposed between the shoulder 15a" of the valve housing 15a and the valve body 15b and elastically biases the valve body 15b to the outside of the valve housing 15a, and a packing 15d which is engaged in the valve housing 15a and seals the inner space 15a' with respect to the movement of the valve body 15b. A stopper 15b" is integrally formed on an outer surface of the valve body 15b for preventing the valve body 15b from being escaped from the valve housing 15a while being supported by means of the packing 15d.
The first foam discharge passage 17 is engaged to an end of the foam discharge passage 15b' of the valve body 15b. The first foam discharge passage 17 communicates with the foam discharge pipe 13 depending on the operation of the push valve 15 for thereby forming the discharge passage of the shaving foam 3. The connection part of the valve body 15b is flexible depending on the movement of the valve body 15b.
The push button 19 is protruded from an outer surface of the handle 10. The push button 19 is constructed to provide the push valve 15 with a pressing force for thereby adjusting an opening and closing state of the push valve 15. The push button 19 and the push valve 15 are connected with each other with an elastic spring being disposed between the same, so the push button 19 keeps being elastically protruded from the outer surface of the handle 10 all the time. At usual time, the push valve 15 keeps being closed. Namely, the push valve 15 is opened only when the push button 19 is pressed, so the shaving foam 3 in the accommodating space 11 is discharged to the razor blade body 30.
A flexible connection unit 20 is engaged to one side of the handle 10. The flexible connection unit 20 is constructed to flexibly be bent depending on a pressurizing force which is naturally provided during a shaving, so that the razor blade body 30 can be closely contacted with a skin even when the skin is curved, and the over force transferred from the handle 10 can be flexibly supported. The first and second foam discharge passages 17 and 21 are formed in the flexible connection unit 20. It should be preferred that the flexible connection unit 20 is bent within an angle range of 10 through 20 degrees, preferably 15 degrees. It is preferably made of a rubber material. The razor blade body 30 is engaged to the flexible connection unit 20. The razor blade body 30 corresponds to a part which is used when actually shaving. A razor blade 31 and a lubrication band 33 are provided on its front side. The third foam discharge passage 35 formed in the razor blade body 30 communicates with the second foam discharge passage 21 and discharges the shaving foam 3. It should be preferred that the razor blade 31 is formed in a dual or triple structure, and that the lubrication band 33 is formed in the upper and lower sides of the razor blade 31 in one pair. The discharge end of the third foam discharge passage 35 is preferably formed in the lower side of the razor blade 31.
The razor blade body 30 is detachably engaged to the flexible connection unit 20. All kinds of the known razor blade engagement structures may be adapted to the detachable engagement structure of the razor blade body 30 with respect to the flexible connection unit 20.
In case of the portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, there is further provided a cover 40 which is detachably engaged to the handle 10 for protecting the flexible connection unit 20 and the razor blade body 30. The cover 40 prevents the razor blade body 30 from being exposed to the outside when storing or moving the same, so a user or others are not hurt by means of the razor blade 31 , and it is possible to keep the razor blade clean from foreign substances such as dust. In addition, the cover 40 makes it possible to prevent a relatively weak flexible connection unit 20 from being provided with an undesired physical force. It is preferably made of a semi-transparent synthetic resin, so it can be seen from the outside.
The operations of the portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 through 3.
In the portable foam type shaver 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, the valve body 15b is elastically biased so that the push valve 15 disposed between the foam discharge pipe 13 and the first foam discharge passage 17 is closed at usual time. So, the shaving foam 3 stored in the accommodating space 11 is not discharged to the razor blade body 30. In this state, a certain amount of the shaving foam 3 corresponding to the volume of the inner space 15a' remains in the inner space 15a' of the valve housing 15a.
For use, when a user pushes the push button 19, as a certain force greater than the elastic force of the elastic spring 15c is applied to the valve body 15b, the valve body 15b moves into the valve housing 15a. Consequently, the foam discharge passage 15b' formed in the valve body 15b gets communicated with the inner space 15a' of the valve housing 15a filled with a certain amount of shaving foam 3, and the foam discharge pipe 13 and the first foam discharge passage 17 get communicated with each other, and the valve body 15b closes the foam discharge pipe 13. In this case, a certain amount of the shaving foam 3 stored in the inner space
15a' of the valve housing 15a is discharged to the razor blade 31 through the first foam discharge passage 17 of the handle 10, the second foam discharge passage 21 of the flexible connection unit 20 and the third foam discharge passage 35 of the razor blade body 30. When the user removes the force applied to the push button 19, the valve body 15b and the push button 19 return to their initial positions with the help of the elastic springs 15c and 19a, and then the valve body 15b blocks the first discharge passage 17 and communicates with the foam discharge pipe 13 and the inner space 15a' of the push valve 15, so that a certain amount of the shaving foam 3 corresponding to the inner space 15a' is recharged into the inner space 15a' of the valve housing 15a.
The above procedures are repeated as the push button 19 is pressed again. Whenever the push button 19 is pressed one time, a certain amount of the shaving foam 3 corresponding to the volume of the inner space 15a' is discharged. When all the amount of the shaving foam 3 in the accommodating space 11 runs out, a shaving foam charging container(not shown) is engaged to the charging valve 11a in the method similar with the chargeable gaslight, so the shaving foam 3 can be charged into the accommodating space 11.
Industrial Applicability As described above, in the portable foam type shaver according to the present invention, since the shaving foam stored in the interior of the handle is discharged to the razor blade body as the user simply presses the push button, it is possible to easily shave without separately preparing the shaving foam. In addition, as the push button is pressed, the shaving foam stored in the interior of the handle is quantitatively discharged to the razor blade body, so it is possible to precisely adjust the amount of shaving foam by a desired amount, which leads to saving shaving foam.
Since it is possible to recharge the shaving foam into the accommodating space through the charging valve, the product of the present invention can be used semi-permanently.
As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.
