Abstract

バックライトを高輝度なパルス(高輝度部)で点灯させるとともに、その非点灯区間も低輝度なパルス(低輝度部)で1フレーム内フルデューティで点灯させる。このように、バーストパルスを高輝度部と低輝度部の複合構成とすることにより、低輝度高デューティによる動きボケした映像の上に、くっきりした輪郭の高輝度画像を重ねることができ、高輝度画像時の輝度劣化を低減させることができるとともに、音鳴きも低減させることができる。
