Abstract
Disclosed is a photosensitive composition for fluorine-containing volume hologram recording, which has a larger refractive index modulation (Δn) than the conventional photosensitive compositions. Also disclosed are a photosensitive medium for fluorine-containing volume hologram recording using such a photosensitive composition, and a fluorine-containing volume hologram. Specifically disclosed is a photosensitive composition for fluorine-containing volume hologram recording, which is composed of a base polymer (a), a liquid monomer (b), a photopolymerization initiator (c) and an organic solvent (f). This a photosensitive composition for fluorine-containing volume hologram recording is characterized in that the base polymer (a) contains at least one curable fluorine-containing polymer having a fluorine content of 26-80% by mass; the liquid monomer (b) contains at least one liquid monomer (b1) which is caused to start polymerization by an active species generated from the photopolymerization initiator (c); the photopolymerization initiator (c) is a compound which is sensitive to light having excellent coherence and initiates polymerization of the liquid monomer (b1); and the refractive index of the liquid monomer (b) is higher than the average refractive index of the mixture of the base polymer (a) and the photopolymerization initiator (c).
