Abstract

　照合装置、認証装置、照合方法、認証方法、照合プログラム又は認証プログラムであって、利用者を特定するための掌形情報又は手相情報（又はその特徴情報）と静脈情報を格納し、利用者から取得した掌形情報又は手相情報と、登録されている掌形情報又は手相情報に基づいて候補者を抽出し、その候補者に対応する静脈情報と、利用者から取得している静脈情報とに基づいて照合を行う。このような照合にあっては、照合される静脈情報が掌形情報又は手相情報によって絞り込まれるので、照合応答性や照合精度が高められ、従って、斯かる照合結果を用いれば、認証に要する時間が短縮され、認証精度が向上するのである。
