Abstract

Disclosed is a super-sensitive measurement method which can achieve the measurement visually or on a general-purpose measurement apparatus such as an absorption spectrophotometer or a plate reader plate reader. Specifically disclosed is a highly sensitive measurement method which can achieve the measurement visually or on a general-purpose measurement apparatus, and which is characterized by amplifying thio-NAD(P)H (which is a signal substance) exponentially and colorimetrically measuring the amount of thio-NAD(P)H by employing an optimal combination of an enzyme cycling method that employs thio-NAD(P) as a coenzyme with a labeling enzyme and a substrate for the labeling enzyme.
