Abstract

Photothermal conversion is measured in a plurality of measuring regions by using a common light source at the same time. As means for such measurement, a photothermal conversion measuring apparatus is provided with an exciting light inputting optical system (18), a light source (10) for measurement, an optical system (12) for measurement, and a plurality of light receiving elements (24). The exciting light inputting optical system (18) inputs exciting light into a plurality of measuring regions in a sample container (16). The optical system (12) for measurement includes an element (26), which splits light emitted from the light source (10), and an element (38), which spreads such light, and the optical system transmits the split or spread light to the measuring regions at the same time as measuring light and has the light receiving elements (24) receive the light.
