Abstract

Provided are a grease reservoir part for a rolling bearing, the grease reservoir part being able to be handled in a form separated from the rolling bearing, and a grease reservoir-equipped rolling bearing in which the grease reservoir part is installed. The grease reservoir part (6) is installed in a rolling bearing (5) having an inner ring (1), an outer ring (2), and rolling bodies (3) that are placed between raceway surfaces (1a, 2a) of the inner and outer rings (1, 2). The installation of the grease reservoir part (6) is such that it is positioned next to the non-rotating, stationary one of the inner and outer rings (1, 2)(raceway rings (1, 2)), that is, next to the raceway ring (2). The grease reservoir part (6) has an annular container section (10) whose inside functions as a grease reservoir (12), and also has an annular insertion section (11) inserted into the bearing up to a position near the raceway surface (2a) so as to extend along the peripheral surface of the stationary raceway ring (2), where the peripheral surface is the surface where raceway surface (2a) is provided. The inside of the insertion section (11) functions as a flow path (14) for grease (7) and has, at its tip (11a), a slit-like grease base oil oozing opening (15) extending in the circumferential direction. The grease base oil oozing opening (15) is sealed by a detachable sealing member (18).
