Abstract

An authentication system (1) in which initial verification for authentication is bi-directionally performed between a controller (10) and a controlled device (20a) by using a predetermined frequency channel when an access is first made. The controller (10) selects a frequency not used other than the frequencies stored in a use channel storing unit (13b) when the controller (10) and the controlled device (20a) are authenticated as valid devices by the verification result. The controller (10) and the controlled device (20a) change the channel between the controller (10) and the controlled device (20a) to the channel of the selected frequency. Thereafter, the controller (10) and the controlled device (20a) always and bi-directionally verify their validities every predetermined time by using the changed channel.
