Abstract

Parking frame lines (5, 6, 7) to determine a transformation processing mode to be performed by an image transformation unit (23) are detected by a reference object detection unit (28) from surrounding image data (9) acquired by an image acquisition unit (21), and a transformation parameter is set by a transformation parameter setting unit (26) on the basis of the detected parking frame lines (5, 6, 7). On the basis of the set transformation parameter, transformation processing of the surrounding image data (9) is performed by the image transformation unit (23). This makes it possible to automatically set an operator's desired transformation processing mode and accordingly properly subject the surrounding image data (9) to the transformation processing and display the resultant surrounding image data on a display device (30).
