Abstract

The subject of the invention is a chuck embodiment for mounting round and rectangular forms, comprising a fixed element (1) and a flexible element (5) made in one piece. The necessary force for mounting a workpiece acts upon the flexible element by means of screw (4) and via disc springs (3) and ball (2) or only by means of screw (4) via ball (2) or only by means of screw (4) towards the centre of the workpiece in such a way as to enable the workpiece to bear on surfaces 6 and 7 with round and surfaces 6', 6' and 7 with rectangular workpieces, whereby inducing no plastic deformations. The connection between the fixed element (1) and flexible element (5) is carried out via a cantilever (5') or via a double-sided support (15'-15' or 45'-45') or via a single-sided support (25'-25' or 55'-55') in such a way as to restore the flexible element (5) into its initial position and thereby releasing the workpiece after loosing screw (4), due to the elastic deformation caused by fixing said screw (4). There is an embodiment of the chuck that prevents the workpiece from rotating in said chuck by means of a sprocket (10) with the height Z on the flank opposite the flexible element, whereby said sprocket (10) force-fits into the workpiece while mounting said workpiece. It is intended for workpieces from softer materials. The mounting force needs to be strong enough in order for the workpiece to bear on surfaces 6 and 7. The sprocket height Z has to be relative to said mounting force.
