Description
Description
CLAMP FOR HAIR PERMANENT
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a hair clamp for permanent wave using a curling rod, and more particularly, to a hair clamp for permanent wave capable of improving formation of permanent wave by applying vibration to the hair of a user. Background Art
[2] Several techniques have been developed and utilized to form a permanent wave on the hair of a user. Formation of the permanent wave is generally carried out by using a curling tool.
[3] In general, the formation of permanent wave using the curling tool utilizes a cylindrical curling rod. The hair of a user is round or curled around the curling rod, and then a forming accelerant is applied to the curled hair. After the hair curled around the curing rod 1 is held by means of the hair clamp, the surrounding portion of the scalp of the user is heated by using a heating element to promote infiltration of a forming accelerant applied on the hair.
[4] The formation of permanent wave using only the heating element for heating the surrounding portion of the scalp of the user does not obtain a good effect. More specifically, the heat generated by the heating element is not uniformly transferred to the hair curled around the curling tool, so that the outside hair is excessively heated while the inside hair is not heated. Therefore, the proper formation of permanent wave is not achieved, and the time required for the formation of permanent wave is prolonged. Also, the surfaces of the outside hair are continuously applied by the excessive heat, thereby damaging the hair. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[5] In order to improve the formation of permanent hair, fine vibration is applied to the hair curled around a curling rod through a vibrator built in the curling rod. However, since the curling rod is formed in a tubular shape, the vibration is not effectively transmitted to the hair.
[6] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to solve the problems involved in the prior art, and to provide a hair clamp for permanent wave which can effectively transmit vibration to hair of a user by using a vibrator built in the hair clamp surrounding the hair curled around a curling rod, to improve the efficiency in the formation of permanent wave. Technical Solution
[7] In order to achieve these and other objects, the present invention provides a hair clamp for permanent wave, comprising: a cylindrical curling rod, around which hair of a user is wound; a pair of segments pivotally joined by a swivel pin and holding the hair wound around the curling rod; and a vibrator provided on any one of the segments for applying fine vibration to the hair curled around the curling rod. With the above construction, infiltration of a hair treating agent is promoted to improve the efficiency in the formation of permanent wave.
Advantageous Effects
[8] According to the present invention, As a vibrating means for applying fine vibration to the hair of a user is provided on at least one of a pair of segments, infiltration of a hair treating agent is activated to accelerate formation of the permanent wave. In addition, since stimulation is applied to the scalp and hair root of a user by means of vibration, blood circulation is improved to promote the healthy hair. Brief Description of the Drawings
[9] The above objects, other features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing the preferred embodiment thereof with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
[10] Fig. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a hair clamp for permanent wave according to a present invention.
[11] Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view illustrating the using state of a hair clamp to form a permanent wave on the hair according to the present invention.
[12] Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a hair clamp for permanent wave according to another embodiment of the present invention. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[13] Reference will now be made in detail to preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
[14] Figs. 1 and 2 show a hair clamp for permanent wave according to the present invention.
[15] The present invention is to provide a hair clamp for use in hair treatment to form a permanent wave on the hair of a user, for example, by curling the hair of the user around a curing rod 1 in a desired wavy or curly shape, applying a forming accelerant to the curled hair, and holding the hair curled around the curing rod 1 with the hair clamp.
[16] The hair clamp 10 includes a pair of segments 12 and 14 joined by a swivel pin 16 and pivoted around the swivel pin to open or close free ends of the segments, and a resilient member 18 installed on a pivot shaft 16 for constantly urging the pair of segments 12 and 14 to close the segments. The hair clamp 10 also includes a heating
element 15 for heating the hair wound around the curling rod 1. Consequently, the hair clamp 10 functions to hold the curled hair and accelerate formation of the permanent wave. [17] A vibrator 20 is provided on an outer periphery of at least one of the segments 12 and 14 to apply fine vibration to the hair curled around the curling rod 1. [18] The vibrator 20 may employ a mechanical vibration type using a motor and a cam or an electronic vibration type. [19] The vibrator 20 is accommodated in a housing portion 11 integrally formed on the outer periphery of at least one of the segments 12 and 14, and is hermetically covered by a cover 13. [20] Alternatively, the vibrator 20 may be built in the outer periphery of at least one of the segments 12 and 14 by insert molding, as shown in FIG. 3. [21] The vibrator 20 has a structure for effectively transmitting the vibration from the segments 12 and 14 to the hair. [22] While the present invention has been described and illustrated herein with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention covers the modifications and variations of this invention that come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
