More particularly, the present invention relates to a portable counterfeit-note detector capable of improving portability thereof, preventing a risk of breakage thereof and precisely detecting a counterfeit note by employing a foldable structure.
[2]
Background Art
[3] In general, in order to prevent counterfeit note, a specific paper, which is difficult for the general public to imitate, is used. In addition, hidden illustrations, which may not appear on a copy paper, and a windowed thread, which cannot be copied on the copy paper as it is, are formed on the specific paper.
[4] In addition, counterfeit-prevention elements include specific ink or a specific printing method. An example of the counterfeit-prevention elements includes OVI (Optically Variable Ink), which changes in color depending on a viewing angle, an Intaglio Printing capable of providing persons with a specific tactile sensation when persons touches a specific portion of a paper, an Intaglio Latent Image, which is clearly exhibited when viewed in an oblique angle and is not accurately exhibited on a copy paper, and a Micro-lettering, which is not properly reproduced on a copy as it is.
[5] A portable counterfeit-note detector detects such counterfeit-prevention elements, and adapts a fluorescent detecting scheme using ultraviolet rays, a printing surface detecting scheme using a permanent magnet, and a negative print detecting scheme using white light.
[6] Conventional counterfeit-note detectors are disclosed in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 0252289 and Korean Patent Registration No. 0651245.

[59] Hereinafter, the structure and operation of the portable counterfeit-note detector (A
) according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described.
[60] If the body 2 having the magnifying mirror 22, the ultraviolet LED 23, the white light LED 25 and the speaker 26 is pushed into the receiving part 40 through the opening of the case 4, the shaft rod 7 is inserted into the through-hole 80, and the ball
stopper 72 is inserted into the first recess 821 of the guide 62, so that the body 2 is assembled with the case 4. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, such a state represents that the body 2 is withdrawn from the case 4. [61] After that, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, if the body 2 rotates in the first direction, the body 2 is inserted and received in the opening formed at one side of the case 4. [62] In this case, the ball stopper 72 is separated from the first recess 821 and moves along the guide 62 to be inserted into the second recess 822, so that the body 2 is inserted into the case 4 and fixed thereto. [63] In contrast, if the body 2 is pushed to be rotated in the second direction by 180 degrees, the body 2 is withdrawn from the case 4 and unfolded. [64] Under the state in which the body 2 is withdrawn, the note is disposed below the body 2 for inspection. [65] After the inspection has been completed, as described above, the body 2 is pushed into the inside of the case 4 such that the body 2 is inserted into the case 4 and is kept in the case 4. [66] Although few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and sprit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the claims and their equivalents.
