Abstract
In a hybrid automobile (20), when an operator designates execution of auto-cruise through a cruise control switch (88), target operation point of an engine (22) is set using an operation point setting limitation at the time of D position selection regardless of shift position SP selected by the operator, i.e. even if S position is selected, and then the engine (22) and motors (MG1, MG2) are controlled such that the engine (22) is operated at the set target operation point and auto-cruise is performed (steps S360-S440).
