Abstract

A system for providing information in the cage of an elevator in which display effect can be totalized based on the decision result as to whether any of passengers of the elevator has viewed and listened display information. The inventive system comprises a display for displaying display information, a center for delivering the display information to the display, a camera, a means for detecting whether a passenger is present in the cage or not, an image processor for judging whether a passenger in the cage is turning to the direction of the camera or not based on the analysis result of imaging signals picked up by means of the camera, a display timer, a viewing/listening timer, and a viewing/listening data delivery/totalization section having an operation control means for operating display effect of the display information on the passenger from the time counts of the display timer and the viewing/listening timer, wherein the operation control means starts/stops time counting of the display timer and the viewing/listening timer based on predetermined conditions.
