Abstract

Method and plant (30) for binding gaseous CO2, using a concentrated salt brine, converted by electrolysis into caustic soda (31). The CO2 for binding is then introduced into the caustic soda (31). Sodium bicarbonate and/or sodium carbonate is produced. In further pre- or post-treatments, further components of the flue gas can be eliminated or significantly reduced.
