Abstract

A coated paper for printing which is high in sheet gloss and print gloss and has excellent surface strength. The coated paper for printing comprises a base paper and, formed thereon, a coating layer comprising a pigment and an adhesive. It is characterized in that the base paper has undergone a corona discharge treatment. The corona treatment for the base paper is conducted at preferably 50 J/m2 or higher, and the amount of the coating layer formed on the base paper is desirably 1-40 g/m2 per side.
