Abstract
Disclosed is a Ge adsorbent which is useful for a 68Ge-68Ga generator system. Specifically disclosed is a Ge adsorbent comprising an organic synthetic resin having a glucamine group. Preferably, the organic synthetic resin is a polymer produced by introducing an N-methylglucamine into a (glycidyl methacrylate)-(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) copolymer. Alternatively, the organic synthetic resin may be a polymer produced by introducing an N-methylglucamine into a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. A column filled with the polymer can adsorb Ge well and can desorb Ga readily, and therefore can collect 68Ga produced from 68Ge with high efficiency. Therefore, the polymer can be used as an excellent adsorbent for use in a 68Ge-68Ga generator system.
