Abstract
An equipment controller (1) is a learning remote controller and comprises a main body device (100), an infrared transmitter/receiver (500) for transmitting/receiving a remote control signal, and a dedicated controller (600) for providing an instruction to the main body device (100). When transmitting the remote control signal for executing a predetermined function to AV equipment to be controlled through the infrared transmitter/receiver (500), the equipment controller (1) judges whether or not the AV equipment to be controlled has normally executed the predetermined function according to an AV signal outputted from the AV equipment to be controlled to the main body device (100) after the transmission of the remote control signal.
