Abstract

The invention relates to a connector (1) that comprises two plugging parts (3) that can be electrically connected by a relative translation of said plugging parts (3) along a connection axis (X), characterised in that one of said plugging part, or so-called first plugging part (3), bears a coupling ring (25) comprising a first locking means (32, 33) interacting with a second locking means on the other plugging part, or so-called second plugging part, wherein the coupling ring (25) can be elastically deformed for moving the first locking means (32, 33) between a locking position, in which said first locking means (32, 33) can interact with said second locking means, and a release position in which said first locking means (32, 33) can be released from said second locking means.
