Abstract

A fire alarm (3) sends, when it detects something wrong in its self-inspection, a failure signal to an intercom parent (1) capable of communicating with a door intercom (2), thereby to notify the intercom parent (1) of the trouble of the fire alarm (3). In case the receiving time when the intercom parent (1) receives the failure signal from the fire alarm (3) is contained in an allowable time band, in which the output of a failure notifying sound is allowed, both the fire alarm (3) and the intercom parent (1) output the failure notifying sound thereby to notify the failure of the fire alarm (3). In case the receiving time is not contained inthe allowable time band, on the contrary, the fire alarm (3) and the intercom parent (1) output the failure notifying sound, when the allowable time band comes, thereby to notify the failure of the fire alarm (3). As a result, the trouble of the fire alarm is notified to the user without troubling the user.
