Abstract

Disclosed is a highly adhesive, high-strength, soft oxidized propylene polymer satisfying (a) [mmmm] is 20-80% by mole, (b) the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is not more than 4.0, (c) the acid value is 0.2-40 mgKOH/g, and (d) the acetone-soluble content is not more than 0.5% by mass. Also disclosed is a method for producing an oxidized propylene polymer, wherein a propylene homopolymer satisfying (v) [mmmm] is 20-80% by mole and (w) the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is not more than 4.0, is oxidized at 100-300˚C in the presence of a molecular oxygen and/or an ozone-containing gas.
