Abstract

Provided is a fuel cell module (1) comprising a modifier (2) for modifying a modified raw material (or a raw fuel) to produce a modified gas, and a flat-plate type SOFC stack (3) for generating electric power by using the modified gas produced by the modifier (2) and air. The fuel cell module is constituted by coupling the individual end plates (15) of the SOFC stack (3) and the casing (2a) of the modifier (2) individually through heat conduction members (21). As a result, the heat generated at the SOFC stack (3) transfers from the end plates (15) through the heat conduction members (21) to the modifier (2), so that the heat transfer from the SOFC stack (3) to the modifier (2) is increased to raise the temperature of the modifier (2) sufficiently.
