Abstract

A nut including a first nut body that has formed in it an elliptic bolt insertion hole and also has one end provided with a projection formed in a substantial Z shape, a second nut body that has an elliptic bolt insertion hole with the same shape as the first nut body and also has one end provided with a projection formed in a substantial Z shape so that the one end is in surface contact with the projection of the first nut and that the contact section forms a perfect circle, a first thread that is formed so that a bolt can be fitted to the projection of the first nut body and to an inner wall surface of the bolt insertion hole on the projection side, and a second thread that has the same shape as the first thread and is formed so that the bolt can be fitted to the projection of the second nut body and to an inner wall surface of the bolt insertion hole on the projection side. The bolt can be easily inserted up to a predetermined position, and when the bolt is rotated from this position, the nut can be reliable engaged with the thread of the bolt and tightened with sufficient strength. The structure of the nut is simple, and the nut can be produced at low cost.
