Abstract

There is described a whistle (2) comprising a recording means (3). There is also described a notification kit comprising said whistle (2), an information recording means and a chronometer or timer (20).

Description

A MOUTH WHISTLE WITH A BUILT- IN RECORDING DEVICE

The present invention relates to a mouth whistle with a built-in pen. A problem, which is felt by different classes of potential users of the invention, is to be able to stably and conveniently combine the functionalities of a whistle, a pen or other recording means or device, and a timer chronometer.

In order to mention a few non-limitative examples, the classes of sport trainers and referees, police and hunters could take advantage of the invention.

For instance, a football trainer could use the whistle to attract attention and promptly notify fouls and match interruptions, concurrently taking notes and times related to the match with the writing device.

For hunters, it is useful to notify their own presence to colleagues for safety purposes and take note of the number, kind and position of the preys.

Furthermore, for police forces, it is useful to be able to order to stop and take note, for instance, of the number plates of the cars committing a driving offence.

The simplest and most obvious solution consists in collecting these three items, carrying them along. However, the practice teaches that often, because of carelessness or imperfect organisation, there is the risk of forgetting one or more of these items at home.

Gathering the whole in appropriate bags does not solve the problem at the root, because situations of confusion could always occur "on the field" leading to the loss of one of the three items.

There are known solutions that combine the three items by means of laces or other similar solutions, such as metal rings. However, they subsequently result being inconvenient for use, such as for instance blowing in a whistle to which a pen is tightly fastened; if the lace is extended to increase the comfort, it results being inconvenient for its storing because of poor compactness.

It is therefore the object of the present invention to make a means which may be handled by a single hand, is suitable to be preferably used in the above described situations thus overcoming the above mentioned problems.

According to the invention, such an object is achieved by a mouth whistle characterised in that it comprises a recording means.

Advantageously, said whistle includes a notification kit comprising an information recording means. These and other features of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a practical embodiment thereof shown by way of no limitation in the accompanying drawings, in which: figure 1 shows a side view of a whistle according to the present invention; figure 2 shows a left view in figure 1 ; figure 3 shows a right view in figure 1 ; figure 4 shows a top plan view of the whistle; figure 5 shows a front view of a chronometer or timer; figure 6 shows a front view of a notepad-holder; figure 7 shows the detachable coupling between the chronometer and the notepad-holder; figure 8 shows a second embodiment of the whistle with a built-in chronometer. A whistle 2 (figures 1-4) comprises an inlet slit 10 for the mouth- blown air, a resounding chamber 11 and a second outlet slit 4 for the air.

Said whistle 2 further comprises a lower extension 12 supporting a pen 3 or any recording means or device.

Said pen 3 is housed within said lower extension 12. The pen 3 comprises a retractile point 5 and a button 6 to retract the point 5, said point 5 facing the opposite side of the air inlet.

Hooking means such as an eyelet 7 makes it easier to carry, for instance by means of a lace (not shown).

Advantageously, the recording means may be an analogical or digital sound recorder (for instance for MP3 files), or a pen which is suitable to interact with screens, for instance LCD screens, of electronic devices such as mobile phones, mini-PCs, palmtops, smartphones and the like.

A notification kit may advantageously comprise other accessories as well as the above described whistle, which are not all shown here, such as a rubber, a pencil, a mechanical- or electronic-type chronometer or timer 20, and possibly a notepad and notepad-holder 21.

Advantageously, the chronometer 20 may comprise a clock, a calendar and a sound alarm.

Advantageously, the notepad-holder 21 or any other information recording device, such as mobile phones, mini -PCs, palmtops, smartphones and the like may be fitted on the back of the chronometer 20.

The chronometer 20 may be integrated in the whistle 2 as shown in figure 8: in this case a simple liquid crystal chronometer, which is especially thin and thus suitable to be integrated in the frame of the whistle 2, may be used.

1. A mouth whistle (2) characterised in that it comprises a recording means (3).

2. A whistle (2) according to claim 1, characterised in that the recording means (3) is a pen.

3. A whistle (2) according to claim 2, characterised in that the pen (3) has a retractile point (5) by means of a control element (6).

4. A whistle (2) according to claim 3, characterised in that it comprises a lower extension (12) adapted to house said pen (3), the retractile point (5) facing in the direction opposite the inlet slit (10) for the air.

5. A whistle (2) according to claim 1, characterised in that the recording means (3) is a sound recorder.

6. A whistle (2) according to claim 5, characterised in that the sound recorder is of the electronic type.

7. A whistle (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises a chronometer or timer (20).

8. A whistle (2) according to claim 7, characterised in that the chronometer or timer (20) is of the mechanical type.

9. A whistle (2) according to claim 7, characterised in that the chronometer or timer (20) is of the electronic type.

10. A whistle (2) according to claim 7, 8 or 9, characterised in that the chronometer or timer (20) comprises a clock, a calendar and a sound alarm.

11. A whistle (2) according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that it comprises hooking means, preferably an eyelet

(7).

12. A notification kit characterised in that it comprises a whistle according to any of claims 1-11 and an information recording means, preferably a notepad.

13. A notification kit according to claim 12, characterised in that it comprises a chronometer or timer (20).

14. A notification kit according to claim 13, characterised in that said chronometer or timer (20) comprises hooking means for the stable coupling with said information recording means.

15. A notification kit according to any of claims 12-14, characterised in that it comprises a support lace for said whistle (2).
