Abstract
A technology for rotating a rotating object about two axes by making a space occupied by a reduction gear small. The reduction gear (10) has a first speed reduction unit (60) and a second speed reduction unit (40). When the output shaft (79) of a first motor (12) rotates, the first reduction unit (60) revolves about an axis (CL1) and rotates while keeping first flexsplines (62X, 62Y) and a first circular spline (64) in mesh. When the output shaft (81) of a second motor (14) rotates, the second reduction unit (40) revolves about an axis (CL2) while keeping the flexspline and the second circular spline (34) of the second reduction unit (40) in mesh. When the flexspline revolves, the second circular spline (34) rotates about the axis (CL2). The flexspline of the first reduction unit (60) and that of the second reduction unit (40) are arranged such that their revolution planes intersect perpendicularly.
