Abstract
There is provided a mobile communication device capable of selecting a communication system that can suppress the increase of processing load and constantly maintain a stable communication quality by selecting the communication system in consideration of a mobile status. In this device, a macro cell standby processing unit (111) detects a change of the cell ID of a macro cell during standby processing performed in a macro-cell wireless communication system. A macro cell standby processing unit (112) detects a change of the cell ID of the macro cell during standby processing performed in a macro-cell wireless communication system. A system selection unit (114) selects a communication system according to the communication quality of the macro-cell wireless communication system or a pico-cell wireless communication system during each standby processing and according to the cell ID of the macro cell or the number of changes in the cell ID of the macro cell.
