Abstract

A method of deodorizing clothes, etc., and apparatus therefor, that realize removing of odors, such as those of tobacco and grilled meat, daily often attached to clothes therefrom through simple means without the need of special unit for humidification. The method comprises the moisture absorption step of blowing air through suction orifice (7a) of housing (7) into the interior thereof by means of air blower (19) provided inside the housing (7), cooling the air by means of cooling unit (15) provided inside the housing (7) to thereby produce cooled air and blowing out the cooled air from blowout orifice (7b) of the housing (7) by means of first air blower (19) for a given period of time to thereby cause drying objects disposed in the vicinity of the blowout orifice (7b) to absorb moisture; and the deodorization drying step of thereafter blowing air through the suction orifice (7a) of the housing (7) into the interior thereof by means of the air blower (19) provided inside the housing (7), heating the air by means of heating unit (16) provided inside the housing (7) to thereby produce heated air and blowing out the heated air from the blowout orifice (7b) of the housing (7) by means of the first air blower (19) for a given period of time to thereby dry drying objects disposed in the vicinity of the blowout orifice (7b).
