Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum wenigstens temporären Freischalten einer bidirektionalen Kommunikation zwischen einem Transponder (T) mit einem nicht flüchtigen Speicherbereich und einer Basisstation (B), wobei durch den Transponder (T) in einem zumindest teilweise stummgeschalteten Zustand Nachrichten empfangen werden, aber keine Informationen betreffend Daten aus dem nicht flüchtigen Speicherbereich gesendet werden und zum Freischalten durch die Basisstation (B) ein Datenstrom an den Transponder (T) übermittelt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Datenstrom für eine Übermittlung mit einem symmetrischen Passwort (P) verknüpft wird, das Freischaltsignal (F) durch den Transponder (T) aus dem empfangenen Datenstrom (M) mit dem symmetrischen Passwort (P) extrahiert wird und der Transponder (T) zumindest temporär freigeschaltet wird, nachdem das Freischaltsignal (F) als gültig verifiziert wurde. Die Erfindung betrifft weiter einen Transponder mit Mitteln zum Durchführen eines derartigen Verfahrens.
